We are CLINTER

As recorded in the Business Registry, our company dates back to 1846 in the Canary Islands. At that time we were a firm of Licensed Ship Interpreters, a regulated profession that has ceased to exist today. Back then, one of our main functions was to carry out official translations in maritime and port traffic. With the new regulation of Sworn Interpreters established by Royal Order of 8 March 1843, the firm started to deal with all types of official translations.

We’re the oldest translation company in Spain. In 1959, the company shifted its base to Gran Vía 49 in Madrid, and in June 1964 its trade name was registered at the Industrial Property Registry. Now, from Gran Vía 57, it continues to offer highly competitive services of the utmost quality.

For example, we were selected by the Spanish Ministry of Justice to provide the official English translation of the Spanish Criminal Code, the Spanish Civil Code, the Code of Commerce and many other laws listed on the Ministry's website.
