Scope of Application
The following terms and conditions shall govern the contract arising from the contracting of our services by the Client and shall be legally binding between the Client and CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A., for the interpreting services to be provided by the latter, in addition to what has been expressly agreed with the Client. Failing this, the contract shall be governed by the provisions of commercial and civil legislation.
The contract shall be deemed to arise from the express or tacit acceptance by the Client of the quotation issued by CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A., or the firm request made by any means.
The quotation or offer issued shall be valid for the period indicated therein and, in the absence thereof, for 30 days from the date of issue.
Interpreting Modalities
CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A. offers simultaneous, consecutive, face-to-face liaison and online liaison (via Zoom) interpreting services.
The hiring of interpreting booths and all materials necessary for the service shall be at the Client’s expense.
CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A. reserves the right to visit the event site to check the performance of the service in situ and to verify the effectiveness of the service in accordance with our quality standards.
For consecutive interpreting, two interpreters shall be required when the event is longer than two and a half hours, or if the conditions so require.
For simultaneous interpreting, at least two interpreters are always required, and in mixed booths, three interpreters are required for meetings lasting three hours or more.
For working meals with more than three guests, two interpreters are required.
The availability of interpreters can only be guaranteed once the quotation has been accepted.
It is recommended that as much documentation as possible is provided regarding the purpose and development of the service, in order to optimise the provision of this service.
At the end of the service, the Client shall be asked for his/her approval and satisfaction with the service provided.
Price and Method of Payment
The price and method of payment shall be as agreed in advance with the Client. Unless otherwise agreed, invoices shall be issued in euros and payment shall be made in the same currency.
In any case, the Client placing the order shall be jointly and severally liable for the payment of the contracted service, waiving the rights of priority and excussion, even in the event that he/she is not the final recipient of the order or has placed it on behalf of third parties.
Cancellations
Liaison interpreting: In the event of cancellation of a liaison interpreting service, 50% of the amount quoted shall be invoiced, if the Client cancels 48 hours before the service is due to be provided.
Simultaneous or consecutive interpreting: In the event of cancellation of a simultaneous or consecutive interpreting service, 50% of the amount quoted shall be invoiced if the Client cancels less than 7 working days before the service is due to be provided.
Confidentiality
The interpreter undertakes that all information and documentation provided for the interpreting service shall be considered as “Confidential Information” and shall not be used or disclosed to third parties.
All our collaborators sign a confidentiality agreement and shall be liable to CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A. for any damages that may arise as a result of non-compliance with this agreement.
The Client accepts the use of their name, logo, or trademark on the website and/or promotional material of CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A. as the image of the Client as user of CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A. services.
Data Protection
CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A. complies with the Organic Act on Personal Data Protection and Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of 27th April 2016 (GDPR).
The Client may exercise their rights of access, rectification, suppression, opposition, limitation, and portability by contacting CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A., Gran Vía 57.28023-Madrid or at clinter@clinter.es. The existence of these rights and the right to appeal to the Data Protection Agency shall be expressly stated both in the quotation and in the invoice.
Destruction of Documentation
Once the interpretation has been completed, all documents and background information provided shall be destroyed by CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A., unless otherwise indicated.
Jurisdiction
The contracting parties, waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them, expressly submit to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of the city of Madrid and to Spanish law.
Amendments to the General Terms and Conditions.
CLINTER TRADUCCIONES E INTERPRETACIONES, S.A. reserves the right to modify its general terms and conditions of contract at any time and without prior notice, updating them on its website. The latest update shall always prevail.
