My name is Chris and I am currently studying Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Durham in the United Kingdom; I specialise in Spanish and French languages and cultures. As part of my degree, I have had the fantastic opportunity of spending a year abroad in order to immerse myself in the languages and cultures that I’m studying. Wanting to improve my Spanish, I came to Madrid to work at Clinter Traducciones e Interpretacciones for 6 months, from November 2020 to April 2021.
I have wanted to work abroad for several years and I am also very interested in the art of translation, so I contacted Clinter Traducciones, saying that I wanted to improve my Spanish knowledge at the best translation agency in Madrid and I was given the opportunity of doing an internship here.

I was very lucky to get the chance to translate a wide variety of texts; one day I might be working on birth certificates and then the next on legal contracts and audits, enjoying the full support of everyone around me.
My job opened my eyes to different parts of the professional world, increasing my commercial knowledge. What I love the most is that it offered me the opportunity to learn about a wide range of subjects. I began without knowing much and now I can talk about deforestation and landslides and the structure and content of Spanish legal contracts. If someone had told me when I arrived that I would be able to do that in as little as six months I wouldn’t have believed them!
